Fabrication

The Jilland Group also has its own fabrication plant with ISO 9001:2000 accreditation, located centrally in Burton upon Trent close to the M6 Corridor and with easy access to the M42 and M1.

The fabrication plant provides steelwork and metalwork to support divisions within the group, alongside external projects from a variety of industry sectors.

The 50,000 sq ft site has a large stocking area with 3 x 5 tonne overhead cranes and can produce upwards of 100 tonnes of steel per week.

The centralised design department forwards detailed plans to the fabrication plant ensuring seamless integration. The skilled staff can produce individual bespoke projects to exacting tolerances from a small item to a crucible beam for a major structural development. Once projects are fabricated, they are coated in the paintshop under strict quality controlled conditions. All work is examined to ensure it meets required specifications before it is despatched using Jilland transportation.
